Montegranaro, June 19, 2024 – The first edition of the solo race "Coast to Peak," organized by the Marche-based brand Fessura, saw the extraordinary participation of the associations Anffas Sibillini, Anffas Fermana, and the municipalities of Fermo, Servigliano, and Amandola.
In this epic challenge, Marche athlete Michelangelo Renzi tackled a breathtaking route: starting from the picturesque viewpoint of Torre di Palme to the historic Piazza Risorgimento of Amandola. With a total time of 6 hours and 26 minutes, Renzi ran at an average pace of 6:17 per kilometer, covering a total distance of 65 km and overcoming an elevation gain of 991 meters.
The course, rich in beauty and significant stops, passed through iconic places such as Piazza del Popolo in Fermo and Piazza Roma in Servigliano, culminating in the exciting arrival in Amandola. Every step, every kilometer was a hymn to solidarity and the beauty of our region, narrated through an emotional video.
The goal of this race was not only athletic but deeply human: to raise funds for the Anffas Sibillini association, an organization that tirelessly works in the area to support people with intellectual disabilities, promoting their autonomy and personal development.
The finish line was a moment of pure emotion: the members of the association accompanied Michelangelo Renzi in the final meters, marked by joy and emotion. Welcoming the athlete were the Mayor of Amandola, Adolfo Marinangeli, and the CEO of Fessura, Andrea Vecchiola, who enthusiastically confirmed a second edition for next year.
This first edition of "Coast to Peak" was not just a race but a journey through the heart of the Marche, uniting territory, associations, and companies in a single embrace of solidarity, demonstrating that together we can overcome any peak.
